slowly but surely things are getting done…latest update, the permits are with the city. they are nixing the basement kitchen because it’s against by-law for a “single family dwelling”. alas…in the meantime i have picked colours for the exterior. the builder insisted that my neighbour and i get the exact same (he develops suburban housing and apparently has this thing against semi-detached homes having different colours) — i said, “you can’t put baby in a corner” — then my neighbour decided they liked the colours i picked, so we’ll be the same after all.
