Chatting with @melissaclementedesigns about the new house. I told her I really wanted whitewash floors, but the builder only had a very small selection of pre-finished floors. I had picked a solid maple that has a weird cinnamon tone to it. I don’t like it at all, but I had no choice. Mel says, “just do it yourself, I’ll help you.” Famous last words, Melissa. I spoke to the builder and he says I can get my floors installed unfinished with no extra charge. Oh and I also decided to get the staircase and banisters unfinished so I can do it myself. After some research I am realize the amount of work it’s going to be…eeeps!
